House in Bulgaria, Unique Architecture Surrounded by Stone Wall
Mihaltsi village is situated in the traditional wine growing region 8km from Pavlikeni town and 29km from Veliko Tarnovo, (¾ of an hour away). It is close to Negovanca Eco. This is part of the Eco-zone for "Middle Yantra", suitable for practicing extreme sports. Nearby is a cave and bridges that cross over the waterfall with a stunning pool where many enjoy a swim. The region has many places for picnics, fishing and boating.
Built in 1922, this property is built over two floors, comprising of kitchen, dining and living room, 3 bedrooms and a large stone basement. The kitchen is warm and cosy with a traditional fireplace and built-in clay oven which still works today. Internal stairs connect the top floor to the spacious attic with very good head height and perfect for an en-suite loft conversion. Keep the original stone basement as it’s a great feature of the property and very strong. This is a fantastic area to use as the main dining room to show off to your friends and ideal for entertaining.
The garden to this property is large with enriched fertile land and great for a vegetable garden. If you love fruits, then you are in fruit heaven since the garden has 30 fruit and 3 walnut trees. There are many shrubs around and a water well which makes a nice feature, and also includes a stone barn. The perimeter is enclosed by a stone wall and accessed by gates for off road parking… Imagine how much you would have to pay for all this stone back in the UK, I wouldn’t dream of guessing since the stone alone would cost more than this house and garden!
All the local amenities are available in this well established village which also has a beautiful church, town hall, shops, school, community centre and regular public transport to Veliko Tarnovo and other neighbouring villages. Access to main roads is easy to get to throughout the year, including main road connections to Sofa and Varna.
